IWRM : AEG builds the capacity of grassroots actors in elementary technical maintenance of hydraulic structures

AEG held August 8, 2016 in Pama , a building workshop for members of Local Committees for Water ( CLE ) associations working in the field of protection and preservation of water resources. This workshop aimed to equip primary stakeholders in technical maintenance works

Actors working for the protection and preservation of water resources met in workshop Monday, August 8, 2016 in the meeting room of the Town Hall of Pama. Organized by AEG, the workshop was chaired by the High Commissioner of the province of Kompienga and saw the participation of CLE and associations within the water of the AEG management space.

It came to this workshop to train local actors in elementary technical maintenance of hydraulic structures. In total, three topics were namely the maintenance of earth dams, the consequences of bad practices around water bodies and methods of protection dams.
At the end of the workshop, the participants were very satisfied with what they had to acquire such knowledge that will allow them to maintain the structures for protection and conservation of resources. They also promised to share the experience with all members of their respective structures once back in their localities.

In return, the AEG is a public interest group with headquarters in Fada N’Gourma. It covers part of the eastern regions, East Central, North Central, Central Plateau and Sahel. It is an implementation structure of IWRM is a process that requires the involvement of all actors in the management and use of water resources.
